Where and when
INM Rome, Sala Consiglio, Thursday 9 January 202, 12:00
Abstract
The talk will provide an overview of the activities performed during Marco’s research stay at INM from July 2019 to January 2020. The main topics will be: the experiments performed at CEIMM on a circular cylinder in crossflow, conducted via Temperature-Sensitive Paint (TSP) and pressure taps at Reynolds numbers up to 500’000; the analysis of the TSP data obtained on a supercritical airfoil model in the Transonic Wind Tunnel Göttingen to extract skin-friction topologies; Moreover, Marco will give a summary on the possibility to calculate the amplification factors (N-factors) of Tollmien-Schlichting waves from measured pressure distributions.
