Project abstract
| The LIFE4MECA project is the follow-up to the EU Preparatory Project LIFE20 PRE_IT_000002PRE (LIFE4MEDECA) that, ending on December 2023, is supporting the establishment of the ECA (both SECA and NECA) in the Mediterranean LIFE 3.0 – LIFE23-PRE-IT-LIFE4MECA/101148508 LIFE4MECA aims to support the preparation of the implementation of Emission Control Areas for sulphur oxides (SECA) in the Mediterranean Sea and the upcoming Atlantic SECA as well as for nitrogen oxides (NECA). The project is coordinated by the Port Authority Network of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea and sees the qualified participation of Italian and foreign partners, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (IT), Press-Kristensen APS (DK) and SDG4MED (IT) with the fundamental role of technical-scientific secretariat. |
